Our hotel is located just minutes from the beach and there are still shells and whelks and other treasures to be found! For a delicious bite to eat we would steer you to our very own Mad Batter Restaurant. It is a cozy breakfast-to-dinner bistro with award-winning food and a fun, casual atmosphere.  If you are up for some shopping, Cape May is home to the Washington Street Mall, an outdoor walking mall spanning three blocks. All of the shops in Cape May are independently owned and operated, so they do open and close at their discretion. Some are seasonal but many stay open during the off season. If you are fond of sweets, one shop we are glad stays open is the Original Fudge Kitchen! So many choices of fudge, candy, chocolates and salt water taffy – a great souvenir to bring home (if it makes it that far!)
