Victorian style – Our mild autumn weather means our fall colors take just a bit longer to “peak,” happening around mid-November. If you are a fan of architecture though, of the Victorian style in particular, our stunning natural landscape just enhances the beauty of Cape May’s Victorian architecture. Take a walk, a carriage ride, a trolley tour, or bike ride and visit some of the favorite homes and buildings in the area.
Cape May wineries – Next, did you know we have our very own wine country right here in Cape May? Grapes are harvested in October and many wineries have a variety of fun events from Harvest Festivals to Wine Festivals and Food Truck events.
Visit the animals —The Cape May County Park Zoo is open throughout the year and a great place to spend a beautiful fall day. See over 250 different species of animals and explore the various nature trails.
Halloween Happenings —Enjoy some fun with ghost walks, ghost tours, historic haunts tours, murder mystery dinners and more. There are many activities taking place between October 12-31, 2018.
Birding Destination —Now, did you know that National Geographic lists Cape May as a World’s Best destination for birding? How cool is that? The Cape May Fall Festival is the longest running birding festival in the country. It will take place October 18-21, 2018.
