The Mad Batter and the Carroll Villa Hotel staff would like to welcome you to our 33rd season as a Cape May historic hotel and restaurant.

We received the New Jersey's Governor Diamond Award as a Cape May destination point. The Carroll Villa is a national landmark hotel circa 1882. The restaurant is the recipient of many critically acclaimed awards and is considered the granddaddy of Cape May's many fine restaurants.

Founder Returns to Normandy for D-Day

The Mad Batter's founder, Harry Kulkowitz, returns to Normandy for D-Day on June 7th, 2010 along with three generations of soldiers.
